Fighting back from the blinds

1. A lot of players simply can’t resist auto-raising from the button when the action is folded to them. And you should, too, most of the time. However, if a loose raiser continues to pick on your big blind, the occasional re-raise will achieve two things. First, you’ll almost certainly take down a small pot pre-flop by trebling their button raise, as their raising range is very wide (see pic 1). Second, you’ll find that player will become less active when you’re in the big blind unless they have a genuine hand. This will give you more walks and position if the small blind limps. Both are great outcomes.
