Poker book review
The Mathematics of Poker

Rating:
Publisher: www.highstakes.co.uk
Price: £16.95

Very complicated, and written by certified Maths geniuses, this book is one for the abacuses

When we got hold of this book it was the cause of much nervous laughter and head scratching.

How could anyone but a maths PhD student understand it? A quick flick through the pages of algebra and charts was terrifying.

However, the authors aim to show how to create and maintain an optimal level of play by unravelling the laws of probability, variance and value.

Don’t expect an easy ride but if you’re prepared to knuckle down this will take your game to the next level.
