The fourth leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour in Manchester drew to a close in the small hours of Monday 23 April at the G Casino in Manchester.
It was won by former European No.1 Dave ‘El Blondie’ Colclough, who bounced back to victory after a lengthy spell in the poker wilderness.
It has been well over a year since Welshman Colclough last tasted victory in a major event and this win returns him to his rightful place as one of the best UK players.
In scooping the £88,000 first prize, he completed one of the most satisfying victories of his illustrious career.
He defeated online qualifier Barry Neville in a long heads-up encounter that lasted for over two and half hours.
