It was turbo time for the third freeroll of Betfair Grand Prix IV, and if you'd blinked, you would’ve missed it.

Seven PokerPlayers joined a big field of 754 runners for the lightning fast tourney, which played out in just under two hours.

The whole thing lasted just 1 hour 56 minutes to be precise, with chips4fun eventually taking top spot and the automatic seat at the Live Final.

First PokerPlayer to be eliminated was Dudek, who went out in 719th in a gory set-over-set scenario with his Tens losing out to Queens.

Next to go was Grand Prix III winner derbyred, who, after starting well, lost most of his stack when his K-K ran into A-A, losing a 4K pot. With his last 700 chips he got to see a cheap flop with Q-9, which came Q-J-10 so he pushed and got called by Gorilla G who had A-Q. Fair enough.

The following demise was Dicey’s, who went down making a typically risky play in 464th. As he tells it: ‘I lost a coin toss after executing a squeeze play from the big blind with A-10.’

‘The original button raiser folded (I got that bit right) but the small blind called with pocket eights. No ace, no ten, no miracle Shafty-like straight or runner-runner flush and I was out.’

‘I also lost a fair chunk of my chips earlier by flopping a straight, betting it hard and getting two callers one of whom shoved when the flush appeared on the turn.’

Soon after it was K_Unknown’s turn in 422nd. His strategy was to look for a hand to double up with, but was unable to get any callers when he did. He was eventually forced all-in with 10-8, although still with fold equity at 1200 chips. Unfortunately he was called by someone with 10-4 off-suit who hit two pair on the flop.

There was a big jump to the next exit, with KillHill departing in 121st. As the blinds got crazy, she was sent on a table-hopping spree which allowed her to sneak onto tables under the radar, and steal a few chips.

She was eventually all-in with A-K suited, but didn't fancy her chances much when almost everyone called. The flop brought no joy, as the 9-9 of 'Scruffs' held up.

It was then left to the fiercely competitive Shafty78 and HillyFish to battle for PokerPlayer top spot. And it was Shafty78 who won the battle. A result that sees the pair sit jointly atop the PokerPlayer Mini-League.

HillyFish was knocked out in 39th and Shafty78 manged to hang on in there to finish in 35th, just shy of the money. In Shafty's own words: 'I came 35th after luckboxing with a straight and flush on the river in two earlier hands. Eventually fell to fourcanal whose A-K beat my 6-6 when all-in pre-flop." Well, at least he admits it.
